Student work and conduct will be graded on the 10 point grading scale that is standard in DPS and weighted based on assignment type.
If a student is not happy with a grade they receive or would like to improve their assignment/artwork, I have a very flexible Resubmission Policy that allows for extended work time and improvement of assignments. My goal is to give every student a multitude of opportunities to be successful.
Work Ethic Grades
are the one grade that cannot be changed retroactively, as they are assessed weekly based on each student's use of time and materials in the Art Room for that particular week. Work Ethic grades are evaluated based on showing respect/support of the classroom community, care/management of art materials, as well as productive use of studio time.
