VIDEOS
Trash Talkin' with Leo Sewell
This artist creates "lifelike" sculptures out of ...trash. So fun!
Michelle Stiltzen - sculpture
This artist uses found objects (very much like the materials you are using to create your sculptures) to create very large sculptures of butterflies.
Aparna Rao: Art that craves your attention
This artist creates sculptures/installation pieces that move, seeming to interact with the viewer. While your sculptures won't be as mobile, you could use the idea of interaction to create some additional aspects in your art.
BMW Museum Kinetic Sculpture
Kinetic means motion or movement. This is an example of a sculpture that moves, creating new images/viewpoints through the evolution of the piece. Again, even though you will not be moving, you can use the idea of shifting perspectives - create a piece that appears different from alternate angles.
Post War Modern Art
Look at the funky shapes and moods created by these neat objects! This video does not include much explanation, but it has a series of wonderful images of interesting sculptures. These are examples of artwork from North America, Europe, and Russia created in the mid-1900s.
